Up for auction is a set of Gibson Low Impedance pickups, controls, cover plates from around 1968. Every thing is in very good shape and functions. Also included is a Gibson bass Tune-O-Matic bridge and chrome bridge cover(Les Paul bass?) I thought showing the parts with the body was the best way to highlight all of the different pieces. I purchased all of these parts from the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo and built a bass that lasted over 40 years. (There used to be a 1963 EB3 neck on this. I made the body in 10th grade so please don't be too critical - it looked much different then...) Gibson only made these low impedance instruments for a very short period of time in the 60's. Between the guitar and the bass there probably less than 400 instruments made so parts for restorations and repairs are very difficult to come by. There are no issues with these parts. The electronics have never been messed with - meaning except for where I made the connections 40 years ago, they have the original solder. The pots have the following numbers on them. If anyone can decipher them please let me know and I'll post it for all to see. Volume pot: 1021? Treble pot: 10018 Bass pot: 10030 Condition: Pickup and electronics - extremely good, Jack plate - has a small chip, Chrome cover - has small oxidation on each end, Treble Selector Ring - cracked, read more
