For auction is a necktie given to me in 1968 while hitch-hiking in southern Africa, through Rhodesia. This tie was created as a symbol of Rhodesian Independence, featuring an image from an archeological site in the central portion of the country. At this time, the country was quite stable, tho was under UN sanction. T was great uncertainty what the future would hold for the white settlers of this beautiful land. The image pictured is central to a navy blue 54 inch long by two inch wide ( at the widest point ) necktie; the inside label reads "100% Polyester Fibre", brand name or manufacturer "Tre Vira." The tie keeper reads "Robin" with a small bird logo. T are no tears, pulled threads, or stains. The logo is repeated thru the fabric, but only once on the front. . T are several items of this trip I'll keep, but I'd like to pass this on to a new owner who may also appreciate the historical nature of this item. Will be mailed USPS 1st Class to US destinations for $2.00. International bidders are always welcome--please calculate postage on a 7 ounce package. Thanks for bidding.
