Up for auction is a 1968 Shelby GT500 diecast car from Franklin Mint. This is one of the limited issue Signature Editions, hand signed by Carroll Shelby himself, number 674 of 3500 . This diecast does a magnificent job of capturing the essence of this ultimate 1960's muscle car. From the unmistakable Shelby wheels to the highly detailed engine bay and interior this model is about the closest most of us will ever get to a GT500.There are a few condition issues which you should be aware of before bidding on this piece. First and foremost is the signature itself which is missing a portion of the silver paint he used to sign the trunk. The second condition issue is a small chip in the paint right in front of the hood, driver's side. There is a bit of the silver trim on the left front wheel well has been rubbed off. And finally, the "L" in "Shelby" at the front of the car has lost the top part of t he letter. Other than that the car is in fantastic shape with no paint rash, no chips or scratches in the chrome or "glass", and with all parts complete and undamaged.While it comes with the original shipping box, the white box, the styrofoam pod, the stylus and gloves and the hang tag there is no COA or any other paperwork.
