Denny McClain and the Detroit Tigers were the toast of baseball in 1968, and all the team's glorious accomplishments are illustrated on this George Sosnak baseball... one of the most impressive from his vast repertoire. There are panels celebrating the achievements of Bill Freehan and Mickey Lolich, and the artist's signature also graces the colorful ball, which appears to have been a commissioned gift to Ralph M. Cannon ("Best Wishes from John Gerba 1969"). The lot also includes a baseball signed by umpires Lee Weyer, Bill Jackowski, Ed Sudol and Harry Wendelstedt.
