is a gorgeous #25 Lew Alcindor rookie card from the 1969-70 Topps Basketball "Tall Boys" set. The card is a "tall boy" measuring 2 1/2 by 4 3/4 inches and was the first Topps basketball issue since their inaugural 1957-58 set. Lew Alcindor, who would soon change his name to Kareem Abdul Jabbar in the pros, led his U.C.L.A. Bruins teams to three straight national championships, as they won 88 games against only 2 losses during his three years of varsity eligibility. Entering the NBA just as Bill Russell retired and Wilt Chamberlain was in decline, the 7' 2" Jabbar quickly established himself as the league's dominant center. During his 20 season career with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers, he was named MVP 6 times, lead his teams to 6 NBA Championships and set a record with 38,387 points scored - still the most in NBA history. This card is in NM-MT condition with sharp corners, vivid colors and no creases or blemishes. Centering is an almost perfect 52-48 L-R and is about 67-33 T-B (see front and back). The card is guaranteed to be authentic and untrimmed. Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. See the scans and email with any questions. Enjoy looking at this 38 year old vintage classic rookie card and good luck with your bidding.
