Hard to find original 1969 Kenner AMX Light Beam Car or Solar Operated Car still in it's original box and works great, it is Toy Number #3001 produced in 1969 and comes with the 4 page operating manual plus the original white stripe decals that were never applied to the car. Very nicely done blue model of the famous 1969 AMX in 1/20th scale and measures about 9" inches long. Very good details and a rare addition to any AMC collection. Excellent condition with no signs of any wear except for a tiny piece of the bottom of a side window on the AMX is chipped away, visible in one image. There are a couple dimples in the plastic that are mostly in the front end of the car, they are factory mould marks and one is visible in the front end image. The toy takes 2 D Cell batteries in both the remote control light gun and the car. I personally tested it and it is in great working order although the new brighter modern LCD lights operates it better. The two circles on the roof operate the car, moving the light to one or the other turns it and together makes it go forward. There is an on/off switch under the lift up hood and the battery chambers are clean and have no corrosion problems.
