1969 Classic Bing Pintail Hawaii Surfboard

You are bidding on a 1969 Bing Pintail Hawaii, autographed by Bing himself. This board was 'born' in October, 1969 (Bing emailed me the board's birth certificate) and was purchased used by my parents in January, 1970 in Honolulu. It was flown back to our home in Minnesota and was used as art on the wall ever since. It hasn't seen water since the day it left Hawaii and never used for surfing since we purchased it. I brought it to San Diego when I moved here about 20 years ago and kept the tradition of never using the board for anything but art on the wall (besides, I have no clue how to surf).
I brought it to Bing for his book signing at Mitch's Surf Shop Sola Beach a couple years ago and it brought the entire store to a stand-still. Bing immediately got up from behind the table where he was signing books to come look at the board. He and everyone else there were memorized by it and without me saying a word he said, "I haven't seen one so clean in a long, long time. You could get every dime of 6 Grand for this, maybe as much as 10 Grand." He then signed it, took some pictures with it and I was asked to feature it as the board of the month on his web site. My loss is your gain. I'm more than happy to answer any questions. ! I have been advised by friends to add additional pictures so that's what has been updated. I've also been told that since I'm new to selling on ebay that people may have some hesitation that what I'm selling is legit. So, please feel free to ask me for any additional pictures or information and I will gladly comply. As I mentioned previously, I encourage any bidder in Southern California to come over and check out the board in person.
