1969 MORRIS OXFORD AUSTIN CAMBRIDGE DIESEL HEARTBEAT TAXI ?

Right then this is a 1969 Morris Oxford yes I know it says Austin Cambridge on Boot.. there is a reason....

I have to sell it as it a shame for me to keep it when someone out there could care for it and possibly make it last another 44years.. I bought this as it was from the same year I was born, but it really not for me I prefere modern stuff it would appear. A car this age needs constant TLC and I don't have the time or commitment. It was formally from a garage that supplied cars to TV and films. It had been used on Heartbeat as a TAXI I have seen it a couple of times in old episodes. No proof of this or paperwork.

This is reason why it has an Austin Badge to make it appear older for when it was on the programme, The Diesel engine was because there was an episode with a 1967 1500 Diesel J4 camper in, but when filming inside it was to noisy so they swapped engine with the Oxford and just didn't bother to swap back. I thought this was a good thing when I bought fuel economy etc but in reality it needs the petrol back in, 45mph tops due to gearing , smokey n noisey the usual old diesel stuff. This prob one of the main reasons I was disappointed in it.

Good Points

It was MOTd on 29th July 13 I havn`t
