Greetings and Welcome to my Guitar Sale Extravaganza!!. I have for your bidding pleasure is a rare bird from the late 60's made in Japan at the Kawaii factory if i'm correct. This is a TeiscoDel Rey, EV-2T, circa 1969. Just try and find another one of these!This is identical to the one played by Richard Hawsley of Pulp and Jarvis Cocker’s band – a Teisco copy of the famous five-sided Vox Phantom. These days many are missing their tremolo arm, and most of them have lost their enameled Teisco Del Rey headstock badge – this one has both in this case. In fact, it’s completely original, with no changed parts or repairs whatsoever. It’s been played and no means a perfect guitar with a few nicks and t, but it’s in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. overall, especially for being almost 40 years old. The multi-ply neck is dead straight, and the guitar sports one of the best and most adjustable bridges you’ll ever see, (just like the Gretsch "Space Bridge", you are able to adjust the string spacing across the full width of the fingerboard). The pickups are nice and jangly like you are on some psychedelic trip from the 60's. Plus, it has a felt mute still attached and performs excellent with a flip of the fingers.
