The Cincinnati Bengals were awarded a NFL franchise in 1966 and the new Riverfront Stadium would be home field for both the Reds & Bengals. In 1970 the Reds won the National League pennant with 102-60 record but lost the World Series to the Baltimore Orioles in five games.
