I have a 1970 Micro Frets guitar, Signature Series, serial number 2123. It is red and in very good condition. The guitar comes with its original hard case.

Through my research there were only 3000 to 4000 of these guitars made at a company in Frederick Md when the founder a Mr Ralph Jones opened the company In the late 60s When he died in the 70s the company was shut down because that is what his wife wanted. These guitars are rare and unique. The bodies are made of hardwood and are 2 pieces routed out to create a hollow body. These guitars feature Micro Nuts which aim to compensate for the poor intonation seen on contemporary instruments, you can adjust the nut. Another unique feature is that they have a special calibrato tremolo which is supposed to help keep the strings in tune and the necks have an elliptical profile.

There are many well known and famous musicians and bands that have used these guitars. Among them are Johnny Cash, Mark Farner of Grandfunk RR, Martin Gore of Depeche Mode, Statler Brothers, Loretta Lynn, Del Reeves, Hank Williams Jr and Mike Rutherford of Gensis. This is just a short list of the many.
