Up for bids is the official game program from the semi-finals of the 1970 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship held at the University of Maryland’s Cole Field House on March 19, 1970. UCLA, coached by John Wooden advanced to the finals with a 93-77 victory over New Mexico State and Jacksonville moved on to the championship game with a 91-83 win over St Bonaventure. Outstanding players included in this program include Sidney Wicks of UCLA, Artis Gilmore of Jacksonville, and Bob Lanier of St Bonaventure. This is a tough program to find in a condition this nice. The black cover makes even the smallest chipping and creasing visible but his program is in outstanding condition with no discoloration, creasing, or marking. This program will be shipped in a magazine storage bag with backing board and packaged with corrugated cardboard for additional protection. I’m a long time program collector and sensitive to other collectors who want to ensure that their programs arrive in perfect condition. Nothing makes me crazier than receiving a long awaited item only to discover that the seller crammed it into an envelope with no protection and the postal service folded it in half.
