1970s Lionel Train Set (Uncataloged) -- 8141 2-4-2 gunmetal grey plastic steam engine with Pennsylvania "Sound of Steam" tender - VG. Tested. Runs F-R. Headlight. Smoke! The "Sound of Steam" in the tender is not working properly . It only makes a hissing sound like an untuned radio. -- 9040 Wheaties boxcar - VG+. -- K-Line SP 5411 3-dome tanker - EX. Nice! -- 9136 Republic Steel gondola - VG. -- 9173 SRC illuminated red caboose. THAT'S ALL FOLKS! Note: This auction is for the steam engine, tender and 4 freight cars only. There is no track, no transformer, and no boxes. The 8141 steam engine and tender were distributed by Lionel in 1970-72. THIS TRAIN SET NEEDS TO BE PLAYED WITH. , because there is a return policy for this set. However, the buyer is responsible for the cost of return postage.
