I am offering a beautiful custom made vintage silk velvet 1970's gown. The gown is fully lined with silk and has a sexy 32 inch slit that starts just below the snake's tail on the left side of the dress. The snake applique is made with sequins & bugle beads. The dress is in perfect condition and has no signs of wear. The tight sleaves close with a 4 inch zipper. I purchased it at a vintage store in New York City's Greenwich Village about 6 years. They said it belonged to a stage actress but they wouldn't say who. T were also a number of designer dresses that had belonged to the same woman: Halston, Stephen Burrows, Versace & Valentino. I'd love to know who it was! T is no label in the dress but I think it is custom made. It is a unique garment and very beautifully sewn.......and a show stopper! I am a size 4 and the dress fits me perfectly. The waist is 27 inches, the bust is 34 inches, across the fornt shoulder to shoulder is 15 inches, the hips measure 37 inches, waist to hem down the side is 40 inches. PLEASE NOTE: WHAT APPEARS TO BE WORN OR FADED MARKS ON THE VELVET IS CAUSED BY THE REFLECTION OF THE FLASH. The velvet is rich looking in real life. Please ask questions as I do not take returns.
