I lowered the price to 150.00 fixed price, I see it I "my eBay Active selling as 150.00 but when I look at the page still says 175.00 hopefully it fixes cuz originally had it at 400 almost what I put into restoring it, it's a 70's my dad bought it in the 70's not sure what he exactly it is but old and neck is so straight and strings low and play perfect not one fret buzz, great sound good sustain , it's not my style I'm buying a Fender Jazzmaster vintage modified squier and want to buy the all parts bound strat neck its 149.00 on eBay so if I can just get enough for that neck cuz I'm beet tired of doing binding work after doing this guitars entire top and bottom body binding, neck binding on this is original, the body was so old the binding was chipping off had to fix it was ripping holes in my shirts playing , now has new binding Hi, this is a 1970's Black Univox originally had Univox ask for more pictures in messages I'll send more pics above the real mother of pearl diamond on the headstock carved out of real mother of pearl, block inlays real mother of pearl, I'm a guitar tech and do custom guitar work as a hobby and occasionally get jobs from people on guitar website forums to do similar work, when my dad gave me those, the bindings were chipping away on the body only about a month ago, my old post for this guitar before its transformation is still up if you find it you can see the amazing work I did to it, I took out all the chipped up old bindings top and bottom, cleaned out the channels and installed new bindings, filled in chips and scratches with car paint in a little bottle and wet sanded it up to 3,000 grit and turtle waxed it and looks great, only thing is while wet sanding I took out all the lines that we're going up and down in the paint showing how aged it is, but the back of the neck still has those aged lines in the paint, the front of the headstock I bought a waterslide "Gibson decal, " and sprayed it with polyurethane after taking off all the aged rusted gold tuners, and sprayed the Gibson decal about 10 coats, than wet sanded it and you can't see any outline if the Gibson clear outline, it was a super thin decal I got on eBay and came with two, and are so thin I messed up both decals at first and had to order another 2 and still messed up the 3rd but thankfully did the fourth decal perfect, I order a "Les Paul " engraved truss rod cover instead of a les Paul decal because it has a mother of pearl diamond inlay on the headstock and looked at the custom les Paul's by Gibson and they are exactly how I did mine, same diamond inlay, same size and look decal with Les Paul truss rod cover, all together I put about 300 plus dollars into this restoration and 4 weeks morning till night everyday not working right now, worked on it morning till night literally for almost 4 weeks Also, a real les Paul does not have any screws in the back of the neck, no bolt on, so I screwed the stews in without the U Univox plate with serial number and I grinded down the tops of the screw flush with the wood, a little deeper actually than the back wood and filled it I'm with that auto paint in the tube with loctitie glue, sanded it flush and gave the back a couple coats of poly urethane and wet sanded flush, and the neck still is perfectly straight, the strings are really lie and not even one fret buzz, I also restained the fret board with ebony from Home Depot a wood stain pen, all electronics work, when opening it up I saw the pickups are DIMARZIO humbuckers and they each have working kill switches, flip switch that turns off on pickup for each unbuckle and works perfectly � I can't believe how straight the neck is and low string are for how old it is � I wasn't gonna sell it, I put soooo much work into it and money that decided to keep it, plays amazingly, great sustain, never owned a real vintage guitar from the 70'sveven though I turned it into a Replica of a vintage GIBSON LES PAUL, really look like one especially now since I grinded off the screws and no neck plate or stew holes or anythi... read more
