Up for your bidding consideration is this HAGSTROM six string flat top acoustic guitar. Finding any info on dating the year of manufacture or model name for this guitar has been a bit difficult. A little online research I believe dates this guitar from the mid '70's but will be happy to hear from any HAGSTROM experts out there which I do NOT profess to be! The guitar features mahogany sides, back and neck with what looks like a solid spruce top. It has a scalloped tortiose shell plastic pickguard, rosewood fingerboard and bridge with the original open gear silver tuners. The original cream binding on the front and back of the guitar is intact with NO missing pieces as is the neck heel piece (see pics.). The neck is also attached firmly with NO seperation as well (see pics.). It appears that the previous owner was in the process of replacing the top nut which is in place BUT not glued down. It has a what looks like a thin paper shim under it (see pics.) and it seems that it just need some final adjustments and gluing. The action seems very good as is though with NO buzzing or dead spots and good intonation all the way up the fingerboard. I show the string height at the 12th fret and this could quite possibly be a bit lower with the correct top nut adustment. This flat top has a surprisingly large sound! Quite loud with a very nice read more
