1971-72 Topps #70 - Gordie Howe - "Mr. Hockey" - HOF'er - Detroit Redwings. This card of "Mr. Hockey", Gordie Howe is in EX/MT condition. The centering is 80/20 left/right and 20/80 top/bottom (Topps sure did struggle cutting this set right, many cards are not centered well). The corners are as follows: bottom right is sharp, left side corners are slightly dinged, and the top right has a slight ding as well. The gloss is good and t are NO CREASES. Is this really the best picture of Gordie that Topps could find to use? It looks like he's posing for a mug shot - come on Topps, this is Mr. Hockey!Gordie Howe was born in Floral, Saskatchewan, in 1928. Gordie played 33 professional seasons from 1945 to 1997 (one game in the IHL - Detroit Vipers). With 801 goals, 6 Art Ross Trophies, 6 Hart Trophies, 4 Stanley Cup Victories, 1 Lester Patrick Trophy and a 21 -time All-Star, Howe will always live on as one of the greatest to play the game. "Mr. Hockey" was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972 (the same year of this card issue).Photos are scans of actual card you will receive and please contact me with any questions.
