1971-S SILVER IKE RPM FS-501 S/S PCGS MS64 As an Ike specialist I'm delighted to list this rare Ike Variety. Well known for 2 years thanks to the "Cherrypicker's Guide", this is the only Ike RPM recognized by all published Ike authorities (including the Ike Group). Not an easy cherry as the second "S" is rather tiny and positioned close to the primary MintMark (especially if the Ike is still in original Blue Pack plyofilm). But, it can be spotted naked eye (if your eyes are young or you are near-sighted) by a marker I have captured for you in this listing. This marker is two short, linear die digs centered over the first 1 of the date and between the last T of TRUST and Ike's profile. This Ike is lively with pure-silver brilliance and strong cart-wheeling luster. The dings that limit the grade to 64 are not obtrusive at normal viewing distance. Great looking for the grade. It is in Early Die State so the secondary "S" is sharply etched to the north and north-west of the primary "S". Any EDS Ike is relatively rare (roughly 2% into a die's life) so this one with its sharply defined markers (it has all the FS-501 markers) is a genuinely rare Ike and invaluable if you want to study these S/S Markers.
