FROM OLD SOUTHERN ESTATE: 1970 MADAME ALEXANDER SOUND OF MUSIC DOLLS - "K.L" HAD THESE IN HER CABINET FOR DECADES. This Auction is for "CISSETTE" FACE "LIESL", 10" Adorable Blonde - here's what is special about this doll: Hat is still attached to head! Original Hat still has the Fruit - not just the hatband! Clothes are darling: orange dress with vertical green and white striped apron with original buttons, white eyelet puffed sleeves, original white Stockings and original felt shoes, clean, crisp white long panties with lace trim, Slip with lace trim and extra layer of white tulle. Hair in uncombed, tight style. OLD, ORIGINAL HANG TAG is the single (not catalog type). Here are the flaws we see: Her Cissette face has faded, eyeliner, brows and lashes are still dark; wrist hang tag has faded and the original owner wrote her name and the date she received the doll on the hangtag. Small areas of the orange dress have fading - albeit very light. Fresh, crisp and clean. This doll is not pristine because of the fading, but K.L. cherished these dolls they are wonderful.
