1972 Franklin Mint Postmasters of America Commemorative Issue #27 Fur Seal First Day of Issue Limited Edition Sterling Silver Proof Medallic First Day Stamp Cover A nearly perfect Sterling silver medal from the 1972 Franklin Mint Postmasters of America series. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity (see pictures).This is a First Day Cover with a Sterling silver medal from September 20 1972. This was the first day of issue of the Wildlife Conservation Fur Seal 8 cent stamp.You get the medal, cover, info card, protective case, even the original shipping materials.The medal is about 25 grams of Sterling silver. It is in proof condition and is still encased in the protective plastic case. There are no marks on the medal but there was lint on the plastic.We are selling this for just above the melt value. If silver continues to rise, the silver in the medal will be worth more than the cost of the entire cover. How high will silver go?
