This is from the 1972 McCormick Mascot Series. It stands 10 1/2" tall. The decanter is empty and is in great condition. It has bright vivid colors and no damage of any kind. See pictures for details. These are hard to find, especially in this condition. Get this one while you can! For those not familiar, the decanters were distributed by the McCormick Distilling Company. It was a marketing scheme developed to sell their product. The decanters containd a fifth of bourbon whiskey. For this reason, you will sometimes find them with tax stamps, as well as, the McCormick stamp on the decanter. The decanters are made of a ceramic material and are very fragile. To access the contents, the head or hat is removable and has a cork stopper. Due to the fact the tops are small and the cork tight, you will often find the tops damaged (the contents may have played a part in this also..lol!). It is becoming more and more common to find the tops glued to the body to prevent damage. Each decanter was hand painted which makes each one somewhat unique. The decanters were very limited, and due to the contents, not many people bought them.
