This is the 1973 AIR FORCE ACADEMY, POLARIS Yearbook, from Colorado Springs, Colorado; Hardcover.Chesley Sullenberger on page 225 of this yearbook was the Captain who safely ditched US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River on January 15, 2009. The actions taken by Captain Sullenberger, his Co-Pilot and flight crew on that day saved the lives of 155 passengers. This yearbook has 471 pages and 21 pages of advertisements. This yearbook is in very good condition with minor rubbing on the corners and top/bottom of the spine. The binding is tight without any loose, torn or missing pages. The photos/text remain sharp and crisp. Small bumps of front board hinge of spine (see photo). The front board is slightly loose. The original owner of this yearbook was a cadet at the Academy and has his name and a student number stamped in the upper right corner of the first page.
