You are bidding on an extremely rare and unusual find. This is an original vintage 1973 blueprint from the Lockheed Skunkworks. This large blueprint shows a .125 scale Space Shuttle Orbiter attached to a YF12C Mothership. The scale shuttle is attached to the rear of the YF12C and shows how it would have been deployed in flight, we assume, for high-speed aerodynamic and thermodynamic testing. We have never encounetred such a rare and unusual item. It is interesting to note that this blueprint shows that NASA once considered using the YF12C as a testbed for the Space Shuttle during its development.

The blueprint is dated December 14, 1973 and when completely unfolded, measures a massive 3 feet by 7 feet in size.
