1973 Fender Telecaster Thinline with case. it appears to be all original with the exception of the body having been refinished black. It appears to have a natural finish underneath and I do not know if the black could be washed off with lacquer thinner. It looks okay as is. Also the switch tip has been replaced. There are no cracks in the pickguard. The pickup selector tip has been replaced with a Strat style. The wiring appears to be all original. The pots are dated '72. The controls work well. The pickups are stamped "10 73". I assume this to mean the tenth week of 1973. The back of the pickguard has a rubber stamp "GONZALES". The neck is dated Jan 73. Standard Strat style non tremolo bridge. I have not checked the saddles to see if they are frozen. 3 bolt tilt-neck design. Back of body. Note worn spot revealing likely natural finish. Front of headstock. Original tuners and string trees. Nut also appears original. Back of headstock. Frets have normal wear. Ding in the back of the neck. This is the case that came with the guitar. It has the 'tail' logo, which I thought was dropped before 1973 so the case may or may not be original to the guitar but it is somewhat period correct regardless. The case is in very good condition for the age and only shows some scuffs and average wear. The latches and hinges work well. I do not have a key.
