Selling an original, vintage and collectible 1973 Oldsmobile Omega red plastic toy car, Made in Japan, as stamped on bottom. This classic car was originally advertised as a 'Special Offer' on the Cheerios Cereal Box back in 1972. It was offered for 60 cents and 2 Cheerios box bottoms. The back of the box described the offer as: " '73 Oldsmobile Omega with launcher - self propelled with fast action launcher. Assembled, ready to roll, ready to race. Bright red front grill, plastic body, black tires, silver colored trim, metal wheel axles, transparent windshield. Styled after the real thing - Oldsmobile's elegant new compact...the '73 Omega." The car is missing the launcher, but rolls freely without it. Plastic is in beautiful condition with no scratches, cracks or gouges. The driver's side is in PERFECT condition. The trunk, rear windshield and roof have spots of some sort of clear spray on it, but only visible close-up...please see photos. This is a classic retro car for the street rod or rat rod collector.
