Omega wristwatches always seem to be popular when listed on ebay, I’m sure this will be no exception. This is a 1974 gentleman's hand wound Omega Geneve watch in a steel coloured case. If Omega strove after the war to be one of the ‘big’ players in the wristwatch industry, by this age they had certainly made it. Perhaps the most impressive of all its features, is the caliber 1030 movement finished entirely in gilt with a large Omega logo. This movement is housed in a case that measures some 34 mm in diameter excluding the lugs and original, signed winding crown. The case condition is extremely good with only some very light surface scuffs fortunately mostly to the stainless steel back which again has a large Omega logo engraved into it. It is of course fully signed 'Omega Watch Co' on its inner with a reference of. The near mint dial is finished in silver and it clearly reads 'Omega Geneve' in black print alongside applied steel hour batons, hands (sweep centre seconds in and logo in black). Please note the tiny blemish near the 6-hour is actually a speck of dust on the inside of the glass, not a mark on the dial. The entire watch exhibits that delightful minimalist style that Omega often achieve quite brilliantly and remains in excellent condition.
