These plates were designed by Raija Uosikkinen, and tells a Finnish folktale Kalevala. The back of each plate gives a description of what the scene means in the story, and is signed on the back: 19?? DESIGN R. Ussikkinen. This collection has every plate from first to last !!! (1976-1999 24 plates). The plates are 8"x8" square and are done in deep, brilliant shades of cobalt blue, gold, brown and white. All plates are in very fine condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing of any kind.
