You are bidding on a beautiful collector plate from Franklin Mint 1976 "BRANDYWINE BATTLEFIELD" by James Wyeth which is a SOLID STERLING SILVER Collectors Plate. Serially numbered and individually etched. With Brandywine Battlefield, James Wyeth pays personal tribute to our Nation's Bicentennial year. The setting for this beautiful plate is close the Wyeth home in the Brandywine River Country. He artfully interpreted the delicate interplay of light and trees and shade in the intricate branches of the trees and in the tangled vines growing around the massive 18th century cannon. The historic weapon forms a sharp contrast with the delicately rendered vines, symbolic of the natural beauty of the Brandywine battlefield of today. The plate measures almost 8" and is marked "Brandywine Battlefield - James Wyeth 1976 - Etched in Solid Sterling Silver Limited Edition 14905". It weights about 6 ½ oz of Sterling. IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL VELVET-LINED BOX, CERTIFICATES AND PAPERWORK.
