Up for auction is an item that I purchased at an estate sale. I do not know anything about old train sets except for that they are collectible. I will try and describe this item the best that I can. It is a 1976 Lionel Illinois Central Freight Big 027 Gauge Electric Train Set. It is missing the train tracks and I believe other pieces. It say's on the box that it comes with a remote control Drawbridge but I do not see that in the box. I will describe each piece that is in the box. 1- Illinois Central Locomotive/Engine? No# U36B 6-8669, 2- Union Pacific Hi-Cube Box Car 6-9606, 3- "027" Gauge L&N Flat Car with Dozer and Scraper Kits 6-9121, 4- Baby Ruth Billboard Reefer 6-9854, 5- PC Auto Carrier 6-9139, 6- Rail Box Car 6-9767, 7- Illinois Central Lighted Caboose 6-9178, 8- Automatic Banjo Signal 6-2140, 9- Automatic Highway Flasher 6-2154 and a loose plastic piece that I have no idea what it is. It looks like all the pieces that I have described look new and have never been used. The box is pretty beat up and is yellowing with stains and the corners are ripped. Please remember it does not have the tracks and I believe it is missing pieces but all I have is what was in this box.
