If you have any questions, please contact me. The Eisenhower Dollar is a dollar coin that was issued by the U.S. government from the years 1971-1978. It was the first U.S. dollar that was not made out of precious metal. Both the obverse and reverse are designed by Frank Gasparro on 1971. Diameter: 38.1 millimeters Weight: 24.59 grams (silver-clad) Composition: .800 silver, .200 copper bonded to .209 silver, .791 copper Net Weight: .3161 ounce pure silver Weight: 22.68 grams (CuNi-clad) Composition: .750 copper, .250 nickel bonded to pure copper Edge: Reeded 1776-1976-S ONE DOLLAR - 40% SILVER Mintage: Circulation strikes: estimated 5,000,000 Proofs: estimated 4,000,000 Designer: Obverse by Frank Gasparro; Reverse by Dennis R.
