1976 Charlton Comics Original Art Pg. 2ROMERO Bill Pearson Collection "Romero" was the collaborative effort of Hernan Torre Repiso and his fellow artist Oscar Novelle. They also worked on Jim Warren magazines. This is page 2 from a 1976 issue of Ghost Manor! Another page from this story is up in my auctions! Bill Pearson was a Charlton Editor in the 1970s & early 1980s, in 2004 he had a house fire and this art survived in it's singed state. The art was fully pencilled & inked then lettered which is why the hand lettering is pasted-up with art underneath. Pearson may have lettered this story as he was an excellent letterer who worked for many comic companies. Pearson is also known for editing/publishing Witzend after Wally Wood and as a writer on some Thunder Agents/Noman stories. Bill even wrote The Phantom (drawn by Don Newton) for Charlton, Popeye for Gold Key Comics, & inked Popeye for Ocean Comics. Not much Charlton art survived since company policy was to destroy it instead of storing or returning art to artists. There is some reflection on the title & some shadows on the scans due to the art not being completely flat. All lettering is paste-up on this 37 YEAR OLD Charlton Comics original art, missing some lettering. Comic is not included in auctIon but is an example from 1976.
