WELCOME TO THE AUCTIONS OF MOMTHREWITAWAY! DESCRIPTION: 1977 Franklin Mint Animals At Play Boxed Napkin Rings, Wonderful Find! This is a 1977 first collection of sculptured antiqued silver plate napkins rings entitled "Animals At Play", by The Franklin Mint. These are absolute individual works of art done in the style of the Victorian age. The rings and bases have leaves and acorns or berries, and animals include: foxes, rabbits, deer, geese or ducks, squirrels, cats, bears, and dogs. These are a limited edition and come in their original box, have a certificate of authenticity, and appear to have all original paperwork. These are just lovely and would grace any dining table. SIZE: Bases are 3 5/8" wide x 2 1/4", rings are 2 1/4" tall, and the tallest animal stands 3 3/4" high. Each ring is very heavy and weighs from 20 plus ounces to over 23 ounces. The box is 13" x 9 1/2" x 4 1/2" high. WEIGHT: 12.6 pounds. CONDITION: Overall Very Good - Excellent. The rabbits have a small 1/4" long chip of silver plate on the base edge, the cats? Have a few slight nicks on the base edge, the others have no wear or next to none. The box has some wear on some corners, edges, and the inside lip or edge.
