As part of the Army's Designating Optical Tracker program, the Castor 1 rocket will carry a sensor to the outer edge of the atmosphere to observe a target launched from California. Several launchings are planned for the program, for which the Boeing Aerospace Co. is the contractor. . Photo is 8� x 10� in size.
