Following a 12 month restoration by an enthusiast, I purchased this Lightweight in September 2005 for use by myself and my three sons as a hobby/interest. My sons have now left home and it is time for the Landrover to find a new owner. Over the years we have repaired anything that did not work and have also acquired many extras, as shown in the photos, all of which are included in the sale-including the genuine 9x9 Command Tent with all poles/pegs etc per photo. The vehicle has always been dry stored in my garage and while I do not know if the mileage reading when I purchased was accurate, the September 2005 MOT reading was 59,896 and it is now 63,714, a difference of 3,818 over almost 10 years. A new battery was fitted this year and other new parts include, radiator and hoses, water pump, choke cable, brake master cylinder and shoes all round, fan belt as well as a reconditioned gearbox from Paddock. No gears jump out on the overrun (this was what prompted the need for a replacement gearbox). There is Land Rover Series Screw Jack along with Wheel Brace. I have all previous MOT's and receipts/paperwork for parts purchased etc including the manuals shown in the photos. This is a very clean vehicle and the only known minor flaw is that there is a slight oil leak from the transfer box which requires top up from time to time. Clearly read more
