In 1979, my Dad attended an event hosted by the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. T he met Peter O'Malley. In the course of the conversation, my Dad asked Peter O'Malley if he could get some signed baseballs for his sons. A few days later a long brown box came in the mail with four signed baseballs. One for me and one for each of my brothers. The signatures I could make out are as follows: Tom Lasorda, Steve Garvey, Manny Mota, Ron Cey, Dusty Baker, Pedro Guerrero, Bob Welch, Mickey Hatcher, Bill Russell, Chuck Hough, Joe Beckwith, Bobby Castillo, Dave Patterson, Von Joshua, Jerry Reuss, Derrel Thomas, Lerrin LaGrow, Ken Brett and Red Adams. Ball is in great condition with a few spots of yellowing which is visible in the photos.
