1979 SERVICE PLUS TANKER TRUCK Check out this very rare and hard to find 1979 "Service Plus" tanker truck. These were put out by the Service Distributing Company (Formally Servco now part of the Hess companies). The name "Service" appeared on all the toy trucks from 1966 until 1976. Then, in 1979, "Service Plus" appeared on the side of their toy tanker. The truck has all original chrome parts including horns, grab bars, and mirrors and is done in red with yellow fenders, rear bumper, and battery cover. The decals on both sides are white with red printing of service plus and gasoline and a small amount of brown spots, I believe are from the labels. All decals are present and in excellent condition with no tears. The battery compartment has no corrosion only the usual oxidation. The box is sturdy and has some trace amounts of brown spots especially on the top, not sure on what it could have been but for being 35 years old, it is in pretty good shape. You cant get a cleaner truck than this. The battery compartment is clean and free of rust. The lights work perfectly on this truck. This one is from my personal collection and is in pristine condition to me of course! All lights work and the battery box is clean. NO peeling and fading like you see in most.
