I have a 1979 First Nevada Duck stamp print by the award winning artist-Larry Hayden. The print is called Tule Canvasback Decoy and it is signed by the artist and numbered in pencil 1681/1990. The print is accompanied by a stamp and is in mint unused condition, still in the presentation folder. This print is rare and very collectible and I have seen it sell for as high as $900. This particular print is significant because the subject of the print is actually an ancient decoy found in a cave by archaeologists in 1924 and was used by the Northern Paiute Indians nearly 1000 years ago. Larry Hayden was chosen to do the print due to his outstanding reputation both as a decoy carver-won many best of show in world wildfowl carving championships and his duck stamp achievements-winner of the 1977 Michigan duck stamp competition. The print is vivid and colorful and will enhance many a collection.
