CHRISTMAS 1980" Offered for auction is a 1000 grain (app. 2.3 oz. or 2.08 troy oz.) .925 Sterling Silver Art Bar/Ingot produced by the Franklin Mint. This bar is part of an estate collection and has been stored in the display book since purchase which was in the 1970-80s time frame. This particular ingot honors the 1980 Christmas Season by depicting two happy children excitedly running toward their mailbox which is stuffed to overflowing with Christmas gifts from distant family and friends. I find this bar particularly appealing.The reverse side is identical on all the bars, and shows the Franklin Mint's information of "Guaranteed 1000 Grain, Solid Sterling Silver" with figurehead logo; one edge of the bars displays the manufacture's hallmarks. Still owned by the original family, all the bars have been gently handled yet all remain bright, shiny, and in good condition with crisp, clean detailing. Some of the bars do have moderate toning. Display box photo shows all the bars just to give an idea of how nice the collection appears; box NOT included in this particular listing nor are the other bars shown which are being listed separately. The Sterling Silver bar will be enclosed in a Ziplock and shipped in a padded envelope. U.S.A sales only, please.
