Up for sale is a 1980 American Arts Commemorative Series Gold medallion celebrating the life of Grant Wood, an American painter from Iowa, best known for his paintings depicting the rural American Midwest, particularly the painting "American Gothic", one of the iconic images of the 20th century.This medallion was struck by the U.S. Mint in .900 fine gold, containing exactly 1 Troy oz gold and 0.11 Troy oz of copper.
