1981 MARK TWAIN AMERICAN ARTS GOLD MEDALLION COIN ! (CONTAINS 1 OUNCE OF GOLD!) The issues were sold directly by the Mint to the public. Initially t was a limit of six coins per purchaser and buys were made on the previous days spot gold price. Then, the limit was removed and dealers started purchasing larger quantities.
