This beautiful JWA stained glass piece depicts a little boy and girl in the middle of a snowy winter, standing by a beautiful lake at sunset, feeding several swans with birds flying nearby. The verse reads: “ To put a seed in the earth is to be a mother. To feed a bird on snowy days is to be a host to God.” This piece was manufactured by “YORKRAFT, inc” and has the original Seriglass label taped to the front as pictured in the second photo. (Label reads “Seriglass. Our trademark is derived from the word serigraph, the ancient printing process whereby pigment is forced through a frame of silk containing the desired image. Our use of translucent inks further enhances the lovely effect of this original design”) Placed in a window with the sun shining through, it is just the piece to put a warm feeling in your heart on a cold winter’s day. When flat the piece measures 7 ¼” x 10”. It folds in half and is packaged in its original coated interior wrap, within in a styrofoam box and inserted into the original box which is labeled “1452 HOST TO GOD JWA”. There is an original gift card with blank inside the package. This is last piece I have from a vintage collection. It was displayed for several years enclosed in a glass case in a smoke-free home. It is in very good vintage condition – no chips, cracks, crazing or repair. The black edging read more
