This auction is for a Zippo lighter made in 1981 with the ships emblem of the USNS BARTLETT T-AGOR 13.This at first look seems to be done in the rare Town and Country style of paint,but,a closer look shows that it is probably an early lithograph or similar style paint finish.Still a beautiful lighter.This ship is very hard to find any history on.What little I can see is that it is supposed to be an Oceanographic Research Vessel and I see w a few notable Oceanographers and biologists have made use of her.Condition is lightly used with only slight surface scratches to the polished chrome finish and a very small scratch to the paint on the left of the emblem .Works great with a good original hinge and lid spring and a strong spark.
