William T. Zivic PaintingWilliam T. Zivic PaintingSigned lower left "WT Zivic" and dated "82" original acrylic (or oil) on masonite by listed artist William Thomas Zivic. Zivic of Tucson Arizona and Michigan was born in 1930. The painting is still in its original frame with title and artist's bio verso. This piece is titled " Shoshoni Trails " and features a western plains scene with Shoshone camp and grazing horses. The wood frame has a rustic dark stained finish and a tan faux suede liner. The frame measures 19 ¼" by 31 ¼". The artwork itself measures approximately 12" by 24" (we have left the craft paper backing intact and have not removed the painting from the frame to get an exact measurement). We purchased this piece at a New England estate auction and are selling it as found. We have not attempted to clean the painting or the frame in any way. This piece will be very carefully packed in a large box for safe shipping.Condition : The painting itself is in very good to excellent condition. The frame is sturdy but the finish is in fair condition as it has small scrapes and gouges located mostly on the four corner areas. The tan fabric liner has several small brown stained spots here and there. We have not attempted to clean these stains but there is evidence that someone did attempt unsuccessfully to remove a couple of the spots at one time. There are a few tiny brown specks in the sky on the far right side of the painting. These specks look like brown paint, we are not sure if they are original or if they occurred later and may come off with a good cleaning.
