This auction is for a 1983 Queen Elizabeth 2nd proof gold bullion sovereign. PLEASE NOTE-- the box etc is missing, it is in the original acrylic container only. The reason for this, the collector had it displayed in a wooden coin box, where he was filling out each space with a coin, so they got separated from the box, which will probably turn up on some occasion in his attic. The coin is still in pristine condition. These coins are approx 8 grams of nearly pure gold, so the gold content & having this perfect proof finish, will make this coin a nice addition to any collection & a great investment as gold continues to rise in value.
