1984 CITROEN 2 CV6 SPECIAL RED: Just had a new MOT this week. No tax-on Sorn.I have owned the car for about five years and it has never let me down. It is in good sound original condition including the chassis which has only had one repair.Includes adventure bars, boot luggage rack and towbar for a very light trailer. (lighting socket is not wired)Starts and drives well with a good engine, gearbox and transmission.I am a mechanic and have looked after it well while I have had it. Including spraying the underneath twice a year with oil.Because of ill health I am no longer able to maintain the car, I will be sad to see it go!.Downside: Although the bodywork is in sound straight condition , the paintwork is faded and in poor condition . It has had the usual repairs to the foot wells and bit in the boot. Bonnet, doors and boot cover are straight with no rust. There has been the usual rust under the windscreen which as been ground out, filled and painted. A new bonnet hinge panel would fix this problem. Roof is the vinyl type and has had a couple repairs with matching material.Chrome headlight shells have started to rust. The car could really do with repainting and would be more suited to an enthusiast.
