NOTE: I AM IN FRANCE FROM MAY 1 – MAY 9, 2009. If you purchase an item, you will have to wait til after May 10, 2009 for me to ship it upon my return. If that is not acceptable… DO NOT BID. THANK YOU.

You are bidding on a complete set of 1984 Olympic commemorative RTD ( Rapid Transit District) bus fare tokens. THE SET YOU ARE BIDDING ON IS STILL SEALED IN THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC. It is the first photo. The winner of this auction will receive the sealed set.

Note: The photos used to illustrate the contents are photos of another set which I will sell later.

This collector set is history.... The 1984 Games are long past... the RTD is no longer in existence. The tokens are no longer accepted because The Metropolitan Transportation Authority now runs the buses.

These original tokens were designed by noted numismatic artist, N. Neil Harris, in cooperation with the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee. Each token is distinctively designed and crafted to illustrate the 23 sports represented at the 1984 Olympic games. The 24th token represents the universal spirt of the 1984 Olympic games held in the city of Los Angeles. On the reverse of every token is the official symbols of the xxlllrd Olympiad.
