1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics Silver Medal for Ice Hockey & Participation Medal. The Soviet squad yet again proved invincible on international sport's grandest stage, supplying Czechoslovakia with its sole defeat in the round-robin final matches that also included the nations of Sweden and Canada. This gorgeous Silver Medal, complete with ribbon and presentation box, was the runner-up prize for one member of the Czechoslovakian team. The irregular shape and bright orange ribbon makes for an eye-catching display, and verso is stamped "Ice Hockey" for identification. Just ninety-five Silver Medals were struck for the Games. Weight is 159 grams. Also included in the lot is a bronze participation medal from the Sarajevo Olympics, in original presentation case. Both medals present without any flaws of note.
