Giants 1985 Yearbook, with complete roster, player career stats, player photos and double full page team photo....But the most exciting thing about this book is that it also tells the "History of Baseball in the San Francisco Bay Area" in text and photos from its beginnings as the San Francisco Eagles in 1860....the fantastic old PCL days of the Seals, Mission Reds and Oakland Oaks....the Giants move from the Polo Grounds in N.Y. to San Francisco in 1958....Wonderful old photos of Casey Stengel, who managed the Oakland Oaks in the '40s, and two of his top players Billy Martin and Cal All American halfback and future major league star Jackie Jensen.....great old photos of the DiMaggio brothers--Joe, Dom and Vince....and photos of such other star players from the area like Tris Speaker, Kid Mohler, Paul Waner, Ox Eckhardt, Harry Heilmann, Ping Bodey, Smead Jolley, read more
