Welcometothis auction for one 1986 Liberty Commemorative 3 Coin Set w/$5.00 Gold. This coin set commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty in New York and was the first $5.00 gold coin minted since the last Indian Head Half Eagle was minted in 1929. On the $5.00 gold coin's obverse, one will see the head of the Statue of Liberty while the reverse shows a stylized eagle with its wings spread out. The silver dollar's obverse shows the Statue of Liberty with Ellis Island in the background while its reverse shows Liberty's touch with Emma Lazarus' famous poem called "New Colossus." The clad half dollar has a depiction of an immigrant family that just arrived in the U.S. in New York City. The coins are kept in plastic capsules in order to preserve their mint luster. The coins if it taken to be graded would each in my opinion come in as PF-69 or 70. Overall, this is a great item to give as a gift or to have as part of a coin collection.Payment is due 5 days. If payment is not received in 5 days, the item will be relisted.
