You are bidding on a 3" in diameter (3 3/4 x 4 1/4" overall) red, white, and blue sticker, from the 1986 campaign for Governor, "Vote Dukakis Murphy Nov. 4", as can be seen from the scan. The fine print disclaimer at the bottom reads, "Paid for by the Dukakis Committee." Dukakis ran for a number of offices in Massachusetts, and nationally, including: 1962 - Massachusetts House of Representatives, elected; e-elected 1964, 1966, 1968. 1966 - Unsuccessful Democratic Primary candidate for Attorney General. 1970 - Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor on a ticket headed by Kevin White, lost. 1974 - Elected Governor, with Thomas O'Neill III (Tip O'Neill's son) as Lieutenant Governor. 1978 - Lost Democratic Nomination for Governor to Edward J.
